Ceremony is a craft.
You are the fabric.
Life’s big, emotional moments deserve to be marked in a way that truly reflects the event, and the people at the heart of them. As a professional civil celebrant, I have the honour of creating and delivering a fitting ceremony that perfectly captures individual personalities, quirks, values, interests and life stories.
Based on Gower, South Wales, I work with people across all of life's significant moments; from weddings and family welcomes to farewells, transitions,
and the milestones in between.
Inclusive by design.
Open to everyone.

Ceremonies for life's defining moments
Every ceremony is designed around you and your story: what you believe, how you grieve, how you love, and what you wish the people around you to feel.

I'll take on any style of ceremony you want, in your venue of choice. Crafting something people remember, for all the right reasons, is what drives me. We'll spend time getting to know each other first, talk about what's possible, so you can decide if I'm the right fit for you.
I'm Kirstie... great to have you here!
Life has a habit of throwing things at us: some joyful and exciting, others heart-wrenchingly sad and hard to face. Whatever the occasion, and however it makes you feel, a ceremony helps you mark it properly. That's where I come in.
I call myself a life celebrant because I create ceremonies that celebrate lives: welcoming a new addition to the family, marking the love and commitment of a couple forming a union, or saying goodbye to someone who's died. Every one of these moments deserves to be honoured properly.
Every ceremony should be uniquely yours. Whatever your vision, I'm here to help you shape it and deliver it, exactly as you imagine. Relationships can be complicated, families even more so, but you're in safe hands. I bring energy, care and a genuine want to create something memorable for you and the people you love. I'm genuinely interested in you and your story, and with a journalism degree behind me, digging into the details comes naturally. I've also spent my whole adult life working with people of every age: as a teacher, an early years and childcare inspector, a consultant, and a government policy manager. That's given me real empathy, and a fair bit of patience too. What you get from me is professionalism, warmth and a good dose of humour when it's needed.
Why choose The Ceremony Co.?
For a distinct approach:
Value Vows Framework
The heart of any ceremony lies in the vows, promises, and affirmations made for, or between, the people at its centre. I use a unique, collaborative process to shape these words so they feel specific, honest, and unmistakably yours.
Signature Ritual Design
Rituals give shape to big feelings, making them visible, meaningful, and shared. Whether through an action, a gesture, a phrase, or a symbolic practice, they offer something tangible that deepens the moment and grounds emotion in personal significance. Crafting these signature rituals is at the core of my planning process.
Sensory-aware Planning Support
Inclusive, trauma-informed, human-centred design is not a specialism - it's what good looks like! Planning a ceremony is hard enough on its own, so I make it easy for all people to contribute and attend. My whole ceremony process, from first point of contact through to ceremony delivery and after-care, is designed to be hospitable to all neuro-types and ages.

Funeral or memorial ceremony
at a glance:
-
You, or someone acting acting on your behalf, will get in touch and tell me a little about what's happening.
-
I will contact you soon afterwards and ask for some basic information;
-
We will arrange a date/time to meet.
-
I will send you confirmation of our arrangement with some information on the process and a brief reflection questionnaire to work through at your own pace.
-
We meet to plan and build the ceremony together.
-
I write your script: You will be sent draft/s until a final version is agreed.
-
I liaise with your funeral director to make sure your choices are known and the ceremony runs smoothly.
-
We will meet at the venue shortly before the scheduled time. I deliver your ceremony and together with your funeral director, will guide you so you do not have to worry.
Wedding, Vow renewal, naming ceremony at a glance:
-
You will get in touch and tell me a little about what's happening.
-
We have a free discovery call. A conversation, not a pitch, where you decide if I am the right fit for you. We will discuss what is possible and how I work in more detail.
-
I send a proposal, then a simple contract and booking confirmation.
-
You get a welcome pack and a reflection questionnaire, to work through at your own pace.
-
We plan and build the ceremony together, over one to three sessions.
-
I write your script: two drafts, then a final sign-off.
-
In the final weeks, everything gets confirmed, and rehearsed if that helps.
-
I deliver your ceremony, and present you with a keepsake copy of the ceremony.
Getting in touch
Fill in the enquiry form, or send me an email or a WhatsApp message, whichever feels easier. Tell me the ceremony type, roughly when it's happening ("not sure yet" is a perfectly good answer), and anything you'd like me to know before we speak. If it's urgent, a funeral already dated, say so, and I'll find a way to speak sooner. You'll hear back from me personally, usually within a few hours and always within a day.
The discovery call
A free, relaxed, get-to-know-you conversation, usually around thirty minutes, by phone, video, or email if that suits you better. I'll ask what's brought you to me, then listen to your vision and wishes. No pitch, no pressure, no price sent before we've spoken. By the end, I'll know enough to put a proposal together, and you'll know whether I'm the right celebrant for your occasion.
Your proposal and booking
Within 24 hours, I'll send a proposal built around what we discussed: the right collection for your ceremony, and the fee that goes with it. If you're happy, I'll send a simple contract and a booking confirmation, and ask for a deposit to hold your date. There will be no surprises.
Planning your ceremony
Built from conversation, this is where your ceremony starts to take shape! Over one to three sessions, depending on what you need, we shape the structure, the words, and any rituals you'd like to include to make something truly special. If your ceremony involves children, or anxious guests, we'll build in ways from the start to help them get the best experience. We can use digital tools in our planning so that you can add, share ideas and comments at any time, not just when we meet.
Writing the script
I write the first draft from everything we've built together, then send it with proper feedback questions, not "let me know what you think." You'll get two drafts and a final sign-off, so the process has a clear shape and a clear end point, rather than an open-ended back-and-forth. The most important thing is that the script truly sounds like you.
The final weeks
Two weeks out, I'll send everything confirmed: timings, my arrival, contact details, and a chance to flag anything that's changed. If a rehearsal will help, we'll arrange one (it can be in person, or online - I know how busy it can get!). I'll walk the venue in advance, confirm every supplier involved so everything runs smoothly.
Ready to start the conversation?
I'd love to hear what you are planning.
How it works
The process
A wedding, a funeral, a naming ceremony...whatever has brought you here, the way we work together is shaped in a similar way. What changes is the pace, and care taken to match it.
